These are the current adoptable horses located in the state of Indiana (click on each
picture to view larger image).  USERL requires that all adopted horses be checked on a
yearly basis. If the adopter does not live within a reasonable driving distance of a USERL
volunteer capable of doing the check, it is the responsibility of the adopter to arrange for
the check to be done by a licensed veterinarian that will report the outcome of the check
to USERL.
Click here to learn more about adopting an equine from the USERL and to fill
out an adoption form.  Please allow up to 7 days for your application to be processed
and for someone to get in contact with you. If you do not get a response in 7 days,
please contact USERL directly at 800-650-8549.

Update from the foster 2/2008: Zafar is very friendly and plays well
with others!  I’ve had him out with a couple of geldings and though
he likes to pick on them, being the youngster, they all get along.  He’
s had his feet trimmed regularly and stands well for the farrier.  He
leads well and knows to stop when the handler stops.  He is, of
course, always interested in feeding time.  He’ll make a great
gelding and a special friend for someone.  He’s athletic enough to
do hunter pleasure and pretty enough to do western.  We’ve lunged
him a few times but that’s about all we’ve had time for.

Some information pending and updated pictures to come!

10 year old OTTB who is sweet as pie.  Sound, beautiful head and
gaits.  She is also a great adoptive Mom to youngsters – she has let
a yearling nurse (she has no milk…) when he feels insecure.  She
still needs some training.  She needs a confidant rider, at least a
strong intermediate level and would make a great sport horse – she
LOVES water.
