There are many ways you can participate in helping horses, such as the ones pictured above.  The successful road to
adoption into a new loving home is much more complicated than many expect and seems overwhelming to someone looking
into ways to help.  Rather than thinking of it in terms of "I can only give so much time, money, effort, etc. and it isn't near
enough", think of it in these terms instead:

It is, in fact, a group effort.  I like to think of our volunteers as a team.  It is only in this way that we have been able to do what
we do so successfully.  Taking in an average of 100 horses a year - horses that are unwanted, malnourished and sick
and/or injured - is as daunting a task as it sounds.  Being a part of these horses' successful road through rehabilitation,
court and adoption process - even a small part - is incredibly satisfying.  And without all those that give their time, talent and
money, be it small or large, USERL could not accomplish this!

So how can you help the horses?  Let me list the ways:
You can
foster a horse, do facility checks to approve fosters and adopters, volunteer to staff a USERL event, assist in
organizing an event, stuff envelopes, design marketing materials, data entry, provide transportation for horses, assist with
the cleaning and feeding of quarantined horses, assist with legal proceedings and offer training for unhandled horses.  You
can
donate feed, hay, halters, leadlines, brushes, common medical supplies, dewormers, bandage materials, and yes, you
can donate money to purchase these items, too.  You can even
sponsor a horse for feed, hay, medical care, etc.  If you do
not have the time or resources to donate, become a USERL
member.

These are just a few of the ways to contribute to the future of these horses!  There simply isn't enough room to list
everything it takes to accept these horses in, rehabilitate them, successfully go through court procedures, handle them,
train them, love them and
find them a forever home.  Thank you to all our volunteers who give so unselfishly!  USERL
couldn't do it without you, literally!!!  And if you want to help the horses, be it a small or large part, sign up - go to the
monthly meetings - and learn more about how you can be part of the USERL team!
